Announcement of Our President’s Appointment as Director of Samurai Biotech Association

　We are pleased to announce that Makoto Seki, our President & CEO, has been appointed as a Director of the Samurai Biotech Association, following its 6th Annual General Meeting held on May 28, 2025.

　The Samurai Biotech Association was established with the mission to elevate national healthcare standards through the development of innovative pharmaceuticals, medical devices, regenerative medicine products, and medical technologies. As of March 2025, the Association comprises 43 member companies (38 regular members and 5 associate members) and actively engages in public-private dialogue and policy advocacy, striving to advance Japan’s biotechnology industry.

　Since the Association’s inception in 2009, Dr.Seki, our President has been instrumental in its development, serving as the founding Secretary-General for six years and, from 2014, as the inaugural Representative Secretary of the Healthcare Insurance System Research Committee. In his new capacity as Director, he will continue to drive Japan-originated medical innovation and contribute to the advancement of global healthcare.
